Tammy R. Springston
Tammy is a native of Garden City where she grew up on a farm north of town. Her time spent working on the farm contributes to her strong agricultural background. In 1994, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Fort Hays State University. Tammy is committed to bringing the work ethic she learned on the farm to her work at the office.
As the managing partner, Tammy is dedicated to providing current and future clients with exceptional service. She especially enjoys the personal interaction with her clients and realizes that getting to know them personally only enhances the quality of service she can provide them. Under her leadership, Keller & Miller will place their focus on helping clients maintain their financial viability in the present and be proactive to achieve their future goals. As a native of Southwest Kansas, Tammy is proud to be part of a growing community and relishes the opportunity to give back.
With over 20 years in public accounting, Tammy’s expertise includes financial statement audits and reviews, as well as tax planning and preparation. She works with many different industries in the area with an emphasis in the agricultural and construction sectors.
Tammy holds permits to practice in Kansas and Colorado and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Tammy and her husband, Brad, Principal of Horace Good Middle School, have two children, Jarrod and Brandon. Most of her free time is spent with her boys at their numerous sporting events. She also enjoys reading, baking and spending time with family and friends.
Jeffry A. Clarke
Jeff has a Bachelor of Science in Business with emphasis in accounting from Fort Hays State University. He belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has been a member of the Southwest Kansas Chapter of the Kansas Society of CPA’s since 1982.
Jeff serves as the Quality Control and the Continuing Professional Education coordinator for the firm. He also is the format reviewer for most financial statements prepared by the office. Over the years he has been involved in various audits, reviews, and compilations of unique and complex organizations. He was promoted to manager in 1990 and became a partner in the firm in 1994.
Jeff is currently on the Board of Directors for St. Catherine Hospital. He has served the United Way as a Board of Director, as a past treasurer and as a Drive Campaign Chairman. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Finney County and the Fort Hays State Alumni Association. For St. Dominic’s Church, he has filled the position of Finance Commission Chairman and Education Commission Chairman. He is a founding member of the Knights of Columbus council #8491 and a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer.
He grew up in the small town of Jetmore, Kansas, graduating from Jetmore High School and enjoys spending time with his growing family. He and his wife, Marjie, have three children and three grandchildren.
Troy L. Dirks
Troy is involved with all aspects of the firm including tax preparation, auditing and financial statement preparation, and general bookkeeping. Troy is originally from Dodge City, Kansas and graduated from Dodge City High School. In 1996, he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Fort Hays State University.
Troy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Troy has served on several non-profit boards and clubs in Garden City. He is currently on the Garden City High School Booster Club Board. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Dominic Parish.
Troy enjoys most sports and enjoys watching his kids compete in many activities in Garden City. His wife, Jessica, is a Point of Care Manager with Centura Health and they have three children, Jackson, Emma and Graham.
Deborah J. Duesing
Deborah graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has almost 40 years of experience in public accounting and has been with the company since its inception in 1988. She became a partner in 2006. Deborah is in charge of Keller & Miller’s firm administration and internal accounting, as well as client tax preparation.
Deb grew up in Southwest Kansas in the rural area of Spearville. She has seen the growth and progression of Garden City since moving here in 1978 and considers Garden City home. She is a past member of U.S.D. 457 Facilities Planning Committee and a past treasurer of St. Dominic School Endowment Association. She is currently a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.
Her husband, Phil, is retired from their feed grain and hay production operation. They have three grown children, Jill, John and Scott. Deb enjoys playing golf, traveling, spending time with family and supporting the University of Kansas, where all of her children have graduated.
